Indiana Jones 5

Don't call me jr..
When you think of Indiana Jones, you immediately think of the trilogy of films during the 80's that influenced so much of modern cinema, and gave us an action hero helmed by Harrison Ford. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas were the key to the success of Indy and even returned in 2008 for a long due fourth outing. Despite the heavy criticism Crystal Skull received, it was still very much an Indy flick full of action and some great cinematics. Spielberg decided not to return for the fifth Indy film, and passed the mantle to James Mangold, with Indiana Jones 5 due in 2023. Spielberg felt the franchise needed a new, fresh direction with a younger director, and has nothing to do with the less popular Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Despite the film not hitting the highs as the original, 2008's fourth outing was still arguably more entertaining than Temple of Doom. That film was much different to Raiders of The Lost Ark and even The Last Crusade, and took a much darker tone in general.
Indiana Jones 5 is set to be Harrison Ford's last outing as Indy and hopes to give the legendary character a good send off. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will star as Helena, Indy's step daughter, and Mads Mikkelson (Casino Royale) stars as Voller, except not much is known about his role just yet. We do know he is the Antogonist in this film and he's a great choice, Mads really pulls off the villian role well.

Are you excited for Indy 5? After seeing the long awaited trailer I'm hyped for it, and the exclusion of Shia LaBouf as Mutt Williams is a great move by director James Mangold. One part of the 4th Indy film I didnt like was Indy's son Mutt. I feel like the film could have still happened without him, with some other side character perhaps slotting in (Sallah, Short Round etc).
So what about the name of the fim, which was kept a secret for so long. The full title has now been annouced as Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny. This caused a mixed reaction but it makes sense given the story is about time travel. Indiana Jones 5 will also see a younger version of Indy, using de-aging technology and old footage of Harrison Ford to make a convincing much younger Indy in action.
