Beverly Hills Cop, Moonfall and The Internship

Films of the week...
Beverly Hills Cop released in 1984 and was directed by Martin Brest. It was the film that really put Eddie Murphy on the map as a leading actor, and even spawned several sequels.
The 80's was home to many police movies with two star leading roles, and it really took off after the 70's ended with Butch and Sundance (1979). Many more came after including Lethal Weapon and Turner and Hooch, and the trend is still very much alive today. The buddy cop has become somewhat of a sub genre in the film industry, with Rush Hour being the most recent to announce a sequel with a fourth outing with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

The Internship was released in 2013 and was directed by Shawn Levy (Night of The Museum). It stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two failing business men who persue a risky career as an Intern at Google.
It's full of laughs, love and lessons along the way in teamwork, and bringing people together, a characteristic of Google itself. The Internship is everything you'd expect from a comedy with this duo, in a similar vein to Wedding Crashers its a feel good comedy.

Moonfall was a film I was particularly excited to watch, being a big fan of director Roland Emmerich (Independece Day, The Day After Tomorrow), and he is arguably the king of the disaster genre. It stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson and John Bradley.
