Why films on Freeview are still relevant
Oh look what's on....
With streaming platforms being at an all time high, and services such as Netflix and Prime Video being used by millions each day, terrestrial television is sometimes overlooked. I strongly believe that showing films on terrestrial television will always be important despite these services.
Certainly online streaming is the normality in 2021, whether that's using a smart television, console or a mobile device. It's without doubt the most convenient, and I find Netflix to be the most user friendly. Talking of the streaming apps I also found Sky Go and Now TV, both services ran by Sky, to be the worst. Most of the time if you watch a film and then back out, only to return to it hours later, would result in the film restarting. Amazon is mostly fine if a little confusing to navigate, as they don't seem to have categories as such. Amazon was also fairly reliable and would always continue where I left off unlike Sky.
